Chia Seed Berry Jam

  • 1 cup berries I did a mix of blueberries and raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ΒΌ cup cup coconut sugar


  • Add all ingredients EXCEPT the chia seeds to saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 15 mins allowing the liquids to cook down and the jam to thicken. Then add the chia and continue to cook for another 2 minutes. Make sure to stir occasionally to prevent the jam from burning and sticking to the bottom.
  • Let the jam cool before storing it. Since this jam is natural, made without any pectins or preservatives it will only keep for about a week when stored properly in the fridge. Mason jars work best because they have a tight seal lid. However, do not try to can as this jam does not keep well super long term like other store-bought jams.
